On Friday, 25 September 2026 the Friends of ERA met in Lisbon for a special event hosted by the Portuguese Chapter.
The highlight of the programme was a private guided visit to the Visit of the Supreme Court of Portugal (Supremo Tribunal de Justiça) offering participants a unique opportunity to gain insights into the work and history of Portugal’s highest court.
We are particularly grateful to the Supremo Tribunal de Justiça for its warm welcome, and especially to Judge Clarisse Gonçalves, Head of the Office of the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, for giving us a glimpse behind the scenes.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us, especially our international Friends of ERA who travelled to Lisbon to spend the day with the members of the Portuguese Chapter.
Days like this remind us that Friends of ERA is about people: meeting fellow-colleagues from across Europe, exchanging ideas, and building lasting connections.
A special thank you to our organisers, João Ferreira Pinto and Carlos de Almeida Lemos, for the excellent organisation and for making this event happen.
We look forward to returning to Lisbon soon. Até breve!
